Why Groove Nation?

IMPORTANT THINGS PARENTS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE
CHOOSING A DANCE STUDIO

If most dance studios seem to have  friendly teachers, with some experience teaching children and a show at the end of the year, aren’t they all pretty much the same?   Does it really matter which place you decide to enroll at?  YES!! There are some things that can make a huge difference in the quality of instruction your child receives, the hassles parents must deal with due to lack of organization and the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of being involved with a dance program.  Here are some things that every parent should consider before deciding on a dance studio for their child:
1.   CAN I GET IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE? In many studios the teacher or the studio owner conducts classes and does the administration. By trying to do two jobs at once, the class may suffer as the teacher has to use class time for customer service issues, or the studio may have no customer service available if the teacher is in a class. To have a good experience it is important to choose a studio that can assist you with details like schedule changes or upcoming events, even if a teacher is occupied in a class, from morning until evening.  Our studios have office staff  available from 9:00 am until the 9:00pm in the evening and a front desk person during regular class times, so you can get immediate assistance.

2.   QUALITY TRAINING IN A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT: Many dance studios cut corners by using under-qualified teachers or high school dance students to teach classes. But with our economy today, parents are more careful in making decisions and looking for getting the most VALUE out of their hard-earned dollar.  Although, everyone agrees we offer UNSURPASSED training in urban-style Hip Hop, did you know that we also offer HIGH CALIBER training ALL dance styles including: Contemporary and Lyrical Jazz,  Dance Technique, Ballet, Broadway Dance / Musical Theater, Break Dance, Tap OR Funk Tap, Ballroom and more,  for Beginners to Advanced,  Ages 2 through Adult?!  Groove Nation instructors are exceptionally qualified to teach in their genre of dance, but  what sets us apart is that they are also highly trained in working with young people, and truly care for the well-being of each dancer as an individual, building confidence, trust, creativity and positive self-expression, using only CLEAN dance moves and music.

3.   STUDIO DESIGN, ATMOSPHERE AND  2 CONVENIENT LOCATIONS: Walk through our doors, and you  feel the ENERGY and EXCITEMENT in our Miami-Style Modern studio design!   But it doesn’t stop there, our dancers enjoy the safety of our floating dance floor, to absorb the shock, reduce fatigue and prevent injury that can result from dancing on hard surfaces. We offer special lighting to give the dancer a fun party-like feel, and professional sound system in each room.  Both locations has 3 large dance rooms, a large comfortable lobby and waiting area, vending machines, and more. Our lobby is a great place to visit with friends, watch television, or help kids with homework. Large viewing windows allow parents to see what kids are learning in class. Our lobby is equipped with high speed wireless internet, for your convenience, it has ample parking and is conveniently located near major stores and restaurants, such as Wal-Mart, Winco, Costco, and more,  so you can run errands while your kids are in class.  Two Locations:  Hazel Dell near Wal-Mart, and Fisher’s Landing near Best Buy.

4.     WHAT’S INVOLVED WITH THE ANNUAL SHOWCASE / RECITAL?    Most studios put on a year end show in a some kind of theatre. Students that perform in the show must have a costume for their dance number. Some studios may require parents to sew their child’s costumes, or pay extra and the parents must find their own seamstress to do the sewing. This can be inconvenient and frustrating for parents who are busy or can’t sew.

Groove Nation puts on professional showcases with professional technicians, lighting, video, photography and sound;  to help your dancer feel like a star on this special day!  Our studios order / purchase the costumes for the dancers, so parents do not have to worry about any costume hassles. Our studio also gives each dancer 2 free tickets for our year-end show. This way you as a parent will not be faced with any extra work or expenses.

5.   DOES THE STUDIO OFFER PROFESSIONAL TRAINING TO THOSE LOOKING FOR MASTER CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS?

Why go to LA, when we can bring top-notch celebrity choreographers to you?  From “Do-Knock” of SuperCr3w to Phil Tayag of Jabbawockeez (of America’s Best Dance Crew winners), Roman Vasquez (of J-Lo & Britney Spears) to Kolanie Marks (RNG of America’s Got Talent), just to name a few; they have graced the halls of Groove Nation and inspired our dancers to strive for their dreams.  Our dedication to excellence is evident, in everything we do!
